A Plea To Residents

The California Vehicle Code does not cease to exist at our gates. We have stop signs in our community for a reason. In addition to vehicles, people walk, bike, and play on our community streets. I have noticed a significant uptick in drivers not just rolling through the stop signs, but ignoring them completely. This represents a danger which cannot go unaddressed. Fines will be issued to every vehicle who fails to stop at a stop sign. Because they go directly to the health and safety of our community, they are not subject to the typical requirements for fines. We all know the dangers of ignoring posted traffic signs. It is not my desire to get money from residents. What I want is for people to remember that the few seconds they save by running a stop sign come at the expense of their neighbor's safety. If money is the only way I can do that, so be it.
